Is chlorine dioxide safe?
Yes. We use professional-grade chlorine dioxide as part of our odor remediation process. During treatment, the property must remain vacant of people, pets, and plants. Once treatment is complete and the space has been properly ventilated, it is safe to reenter.
Unlike ozone, chlorine dioxide is designed to neutralize odor-causing molecules at the source rather than temporarily masking odors.
How long before reentry?
For most residential treatments, we recommend remaining out of the property for approximately 24 hours to allow treatment to fully work and proper ventilation to occur. Vehicle treatments are typically completed the same day with much shorter reentry times.
Is it safe for pets after treatment?
Yes. Pets must remain out of the property during treatment. Once treatment is complete and proper ventilation has occurred, it is safe for pets to return.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time depends on the size of the property and severity of the odor issue. Vehicle treatments are often completed the same day, while full-home chlorine dioxide treatments typically require approximately 24 hours before safe reentry.
Does this work better than ozone?

Do you treat HVAC systems?
Yes. Odors commonly circulate through HVAC systems and ductwork—especially in smoke, pet, mildew, and musty odor situations. We can include HVAC system treatment as part of the remediation process to help address odor throughout the entire property.
Do I need to remove furniture?
In most situations, no. Our treatment is designed to address odor throughout the property, including furniture and contents. We’ll provide preparation instructions if anything needs to be removed prior to treatment.
Do I need to replace flooring?
Not always. In many situations, odors can be successfully treated without removing flooring or demolition. Severe contamination cases may vary.
What should I do before treatment?
We’ll provide preparation instructions before treatment, but generally people, pets, and plants must leave the property during treatment.
Does this work for cigarette smoke?
Yes. Cigarette smoke is one of the most common odor issues we treat, including homes affected by long-term smoke buildup.
